Cohesion Phenomics is a state of the art Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory located in Spindale, NC. This new compact lab specializes in genetic testing services for Cardiovascular Disease, Pharmagenetics, and a variety of other diseases for clients across the United States. Sumy Joseph is the founding President and Laboratory Director of Cohesion Phenomics. She is a board-certified Clinical Molecular Geneticist. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Pune, India, and her graduate degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Sumy completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Wright McGraw Beyer Architects assisted with the evaluation and selection of real estate options for the location of the Lab. The Lab design is organized around a centralized, custom designed work bench area that maximizes work efficiency with the adjacent lab spaces including a PCR Room and DNA Isolation Room. The size of the space required the design to be very efficient in order to maximize the use of each square foot of the project. Offices feature barn style doors to conserve circulation space typically devoted to door swings. In addition to our Architectural Services, our firm provided Interior Design Services including the selection, procurement, and move management of all furniture.
